Building the Every-day

The elaboration and transformation of certain elements to create everyday products necessary for mankind, or to facilitate the development of the diverse tasks is a fundamental axis of the industrial activity.

It covers a great variety of orientations and characteristics. From massive productions units to artisanal work; some that are very important even today in the industrial landscape of the province of A Coruña. One can name as an example the textile industry, a section where great enterprises in the international arena coexist with the small artisanal workshops specialized on the recovery of cloths and that work with traditional methods. There is no lack of examples of jobs that even if they have lost a great deal of the significance they had in the past still survive with an even more prominent artistic character, like pottery. And we can even see other activities that barely have a presence as of today, but of which material remains still exist and speak for its past significance, as are the tanning factories.
