Corme Aldea and Corme Porto

Corme Aldea and Corme Porto

The two population centres of Corme, Corme-Porto and Corme-Aldea, in very close proximity, clearly illustrate the double sides of life and activity between the land and the sea. At a short distance from the fishing villa of Corme-Porto, in Corme Aldea the landscape with the presence of several hórreos in the urban centre, is entirely tipped over the land and its exploitation.
Corme-Porto is known today for its Fiesta del Percebe, and the walk to the Faro de Roncudo (that can also be reached by car) awards impressive views over the Costa da Morte.
From Corme one can reach the municipality capital, Ponteceso, following the route PR-G 148, with 11 km of length, mainly following the shore. In Ponteceso, there's the birth house of the poet Eduardo Pondal, author of the poem that provides the lyrics for the Galician anthem, and following the path parallel to the Anllóns river, one can reach a chimney, clearly visible, nowadays located on an agricultural holding.
