Catch and Release fishing tournament by kayak
The club “Pesca Deportiva Cíes”, together with Concello de Dumbría, celebrates on 28th and 29th April an event related to the world of the art of fishing by kayak in the natural environment of the Ézaro Waterfall, also known as Fervenza do Ézaro. The event, CATCH AND RELEASE FISHING TOURNAMENT BY KAYAK, is a combination of responsible sport fishing and a unique opportunity to discover the region.
The autonomous communities of Galicia , Basque Country, Andalusia, Asturias, Canary Islands, Cantabria, Castile, as well as Portugal, will assist.
You are invited to come to O Ézaros square and seafront , in Dumbría´s.
PROGRAMME:
- Saturday 28th April: Opening and workshops
From 10 AM, there will be workshops related to different ways of fishing (in pool), such as Slow Jigging and Shore Slow, Anchored Boat, Making Baits, Spinning UI, Darting and Top Water.
This day you are finding kayaks from America, Jackson Kayaks, South Africa, Stealh Kaiaks and from Asturias, Asturkayaks.
- Sunday 29th Abril: Competition Day.
The kayaks will start at 11 AM and end at 5 PM.
There are awards from the 1st to the 5th qualified and the Biggest Capture, the Greatest Number of Captures, the Farthest Club and the Most Numerous Club.
The label CATCH AND RELEASE FISHING TOURNAMENT BY KAYAK commit on a responsible fishing, so, all captures will be released immediately after its measure.
Finally, a charity raffle with some donated articles from sponsors will be accomplished, and the benefits will be shared with the Spanish Association Against the Cancer (AECC).
