The Carnota City Council has been recovering elements of collective memory for several years to turn each edition of Víndemo Ver into a journey through local history. After paying tribute to the milkmaids who walked to Muros, one edition was dedicated to corn, another to sardines and their processing and also to the magical and luminous sea of Ardora, this year the protagonist will be O Solpor.

From 2 to 5 April, the Plaza de San Gregorio will be transformed into a space dedicated to the sale of garden products, ecological proposals and local items within the Mercado da Deputación. Alongside these stands, local creators will exhibit their artisanal work, completing a diverse offer that seeks to highlight local talent. The plaza will also have outdoor food and drink areas, designed to enjoy a festive atmosphere throughout the day.

The event will begin on Thursday, April 2, at 5:00 p.m., with the opening ceremony and presentation of the immersive audiovisual show “Os nosos ceos: Costa da Morte“, with Antonio Nodar and Frank Bushmann and the presentation of the photography exhibition “En busca del rayo verde. Atardeceres en el último segundo del sol” by the photojournalist of La Voz de Galicia, Ana García.

On Friday, April 3, there will be the BTT test, with departure at 9:30 a.m. from the Carnota pavilion. Registration will remain open at cronotec.es until Monday, March 30 at 2:00 p.m.

Parallel to the BTT, there will be a children’s bicycle race for young people who want to follow in the footsteps of great cyclists from 10:30 a.m. Don’t forget to bring your own bike and helmet.

As usual, the program includes a themed walk, which this year is “Andaina do Solpor”, with a linear route of around 12 km. It will be on Saturday, April 4 and the departure will take place at 6:30 p.m., from the San Gregorio square in Carnota. The transfer to the starting point of the route will be by bus and the route will mostly run along the slopes of Mount Carnota. Registrations can be made at cronotec.es until March 31.

There will also be countless fun activities for the kids, such as traditional games, pottery and basketry workshops, etc. There will also be cultural performances and traditional music to liven up the atmosphere, by the Longarela Band, the Santa Compaña Charanga and the Ximiela Folkloric Group.

And to liven up the evenings, the program includes the following concerts: On Thursday the 2nd, at 10:00 p.m., we will have the usual presence of Chiña and later karaoke. On Friday the 3rd at 10:00 p.m., there will be concerts by Los Lunes al Sol with versions from the 80s and 90s to the present day and the musical duo The Balayos. The last night of concerts will be on Saturday, April 4, with Tian GZXian Pais and Ortiga.

During the four days, you can visit the large tent, at the stand of the Carnota City Council – Provincial Council of A Coruña, the photography exhibition “En busca del rayo verde. Atardeceres en el último segundo del sol ” by the photojournalist of La Voz de Galicia, Ana García, and the exhibition of shells from our coast “Un mar de chunchas”.

For a better atmosphere of the fair, we invite you to come dressed in seasonal clothes for the occasion!
