CORRUBEDO HUMID COMPLEX

In the municipality of Ribeira, in an area of almost a thousand hectares, extends this Special Area of Conservation known as Parque natural das Dunas de Corrubedo e Lagoas de Carregal e Vixán where the dunes are Ramsar Area (wetlands of international importance) and the ecosystems that run along the beaches of Ladeira, As dunes and A Ferreira as well as those of O Castro, Vilar and Anquieira are diverse. Also of great importance is the dune cordon with the great mobile dune (of the same name as the complex and which is the largest in Galicia) as the marshes that draw the Lagoas de Carregal e Vixán.
